A History of Experience

Allard & Shelton has a long association with the business community of Victoria.

From its origin in 1884 when Keogh & Allard Pty Ltd was established in 1912, Mr Gordon Allard formed a partnership with Mr Arthur Baillieu; this association continued until 1934 when Mr Gordon Allard had the foresight to begin his own business, Gordon Allard & Co.

In 1976, Mr Bill Shelton joined Mr Allard’s son, Jim, signalling the dawn of a new era; the company was given a new identity, becoming known by its present name of Allard & Shelton Pty Ltd.

In 1992 Mr Patrick Barnes and Mr Peter Lane seized the opportunity to be a part of Allard & Shelton, expanding the property management portfolio and further strengthening the company’s Melbourne CBD and inner city base.

In 2008, Mr Joseph Walton became the eighth Director in the company’s long history. Joining existing Directors, Patrick Barnes and Peter Lane, Joseph’s appointment further strengthens the leadership team ensuring Allard & Shelton’s continued success and growth.
